Mount Carmel Police Bust Couple With More Than A Pound Of Methamphetamine

Mount Carmel Tennessee Police were looking for possible trespassers on Bay Street, but discover more than a pound of Methamphetamine and other drugs. Police were called to a residence and made contact with 36 year old Glenn Adam Hilliard, and 34 year old Rhonda Evelyn Simpson who told police they had permission to enter the home. During a search police found nearly one point two pounds of the illegal drug as well as a semi automatic pistol and an assortment of controlled substances including over 500 pills, cocaine and pot. Hilliard and Simpson were both arrested and are being held in the Hawkins County Detention Center.
