Local Businessmen Establish Political Action Committee To Promote Casino Style Gambling

A political action committee has been set up to help promote a proposed resort and casino in Bristol, Virginia. Two 50 thousand dollar contributions, one each from the United Company of Bristol and Clyde Stacy, also of Bristol have already been made. Stacy and Jim McGlothlin are partners in the Bristol Resort and Casino project at the former Bristol Mall. The two businessmen were successful in helping to get legislation passed during the last General Assembly session that could prepare the way for casino gambling in the state.
