Maryland Educator Named New Sullivan County Director of Schools

Sullivan County School Board members have named a Maryland educator with ties to the region as the next Director of Schools for Sullivan County. Wednesday night, the board voted to offer Dr. David Cox a four year contract as the head of the county’s school system. Cox, who was born in Kingsport will replace Evelyn Rafalowski who is retiring next month. The specifics of Dr. Cox’s contract are not known at this time and he is expected to begin his new job as Director of Schools by July first.
