Leaders Select McCartt as Kingsport’s Next City Manager

City leaders in Kingsport have selected assistant city manager Chris McCartt as the Model City’s next city manager. The board of mayor and alderman unanimously picked McCartt at Tuesday nights board meeting. McCartt will replace current city manager Jeff Fleming, who is retiring next month after 35 years with the city. McCartt currently serves as Assistant City Manager for Administration and has been with the city of Kingsport since 1997.
