Gray, Tennessee Man Drowns In Cherokee Lake

A family member has identified the man who drowned Tuesday in Cherokee Lake as Roy Lee Simpson of Gray. Simpson drowned while he and his father were unloading their boat when they lost control. Simpson tried to catch the boat but was pulled under and never resurfaced about 40 feet from shore.
