Jonesborough State Rep. Matthew Hill Seeks Tennessee House Speaker Position

Jonesborough State Represenative Matthew Hill is running for the Republican nomination for Speaker of the Tennessee House. Current Speaker Glen Casada has announced he is stepping down after a sexually explicit text message scandal removed him from his powerful post in Nashville. Hill says he is now gauging support from the caucus and if there is sufficient support there, he plans to move forward and do his best to get the votes needed to win.
