Johnson City Police Arrest Kingsport Woman for Identity Theft and Possession of Meth
A Kingsport woman is facing charges after police say she gave false identification and was caught with possession of methamphetamine.
Johnson City Officers say they were called to Kroger on W State of Franklin about a possible shoplifting incident. They made contact with Heather Gray, 39, and when authorities asked to see identification, they say she gave them another individual’s social security number. They also found two grams of methamphetamine in her purse during a search.
She was arrested and charged with identity theft and possession of methamphetamine. Gray is being held on a $2,000 bond at the Washington County Detention Center. She is scheduled to face arraignment Friday in Washington County General Sessions Court.
