Major Drug Busts in Smyth County Lands Six in Jail Over 30 Days
The Smyth County Sheriff’s Office have made major drug busts in the last month.
According to Sheriff Chip Shuler, a series of six arrests of major drug dealers in the surrounding area have helped deputies seize large quantities of drugs, cash, money, and a firearm with assistance from K9 units.
The six suspects involving in the bust are as follows:
Teresa Gail Bickley, 54, of Marion, VA: Charged with Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, Transporting an ounce or more of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance into the Commonwealth for Distribution, and Possession of Marijuana.
Robert Lee Goddard Jr, 49, of Marion, VA: Charged with Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute.
Brandon Lee Cook, 31, of Chilhowie, VA: Charged with Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, Transporting an ounce or more of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance into the Commonwealth for Distribution, and Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License.
Kenneth Wayne Blizzard, 26, of Atkins, VA: Charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance, Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving on a Revoked Driver’s License.
Jonathan Dwayne Delp, 35, of Marion, VA: Charged with Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Transporting an ounce or more of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance into the Commonwealth for Distribution.
Dale Eugene Atwell Jr, of Marion, VA: Charged with Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance, Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance while in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Sheriff Shuler says he anticipates additional arrests are coming.
