Sullivan Commissioners Fail To Approve Next Year’s Budget…Again

Still no vote on a budget. Sullivan County commissioners during a special called meeting, have failed once again to pass next years spending document as the deadline to do so quickly approaches. Tuesday, commissioners were to vote on the budget along with a tax increase but could not come to an agreement on several issues. The commission has until July 15 to pass the budget, which calls for a tax increase to fund additional school resource officers, employee raises and more personnel at the Sullivan County Jail.
