National Weather Service: Above-average rainfall in June trends 2019 as second-wettest on record
If you thought we received more rain than usual last month, you were correct.
Data released by the National Weather Service in Morristown showed the Tri-Cities region currently has the second-wettest year on record as of June 30. The area was showered with more than 7 inches of rainfall last month—that’s 3 inches above normal and it included a one-day record of 1.98 inches of rain on June 6. Rain gauges at the Tri Cities Airport have collected 33.48 inches for the year.
