Sullivan Animal Shelter Hit Again With Outbreak Of Parvo Virus
The problems continue at Sullivan County’s Animal Shelter after yet another outbreak of Parvo Virus claims the lives of five more dogs. The shelter has been closed since last week due to the outbreak of the highly contagious canine disease. To further complicate matters, the manager of the shelter resigned after his first day. A search is underway for a new manager. The shelter has been plagued by numerous outbreaks of Parvo and was closed in June when an outbreak lead to the deaths of nearly a dozen dogs.
