Bristol Virginia City Council Hands Out Additional Funds For School Security Measures…Feierabend Selected As Mayor
The Bristol Virginia School Board now has two hundred thousand dollars appropriated for additional security and accessibility improvements at several elementary schools. Bristol City Council members approved another one hundred thousand dollars to go with a hundred thousand from last year to fund projects that will add security improvements at Highland View, Stonewall Jackson and Washington Lee Elementary schools. City council took the action Tuesday night when they also swore in newly elected council members Mahlon Luttrell and Vince Turner. Council also voted to keep Margaret Feierabend as mayor and selected Mahlon Luttrell as vice mayor.
