Two Receive Injuries In Assault With Hammer

Two people in Washington County Virginia are flown by helicopter for treatment of injuries they received in an attack by an individual with a hammer. The Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office tells us they are investigating the assault that occurred Tuesday night around nine thirty on Santa Cruz Drive. According to Sheriff Fred Newman, two victims were assaulted by the so far unnamed suspect, who has been apprehended. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released at this time.
