Veteran Bristol, TN City Employee Recognized with Bristol First Award
A longtime employee of the Bristol, TN Public Works Division is being recognized for her outstanding work and kindness.
During Tuesday night’s city council meeting, Janet Ross, who has worked for the city for 22 years, was named a Bristol First Award recipient by Mayor Margaret Feierabend. She was nominated twice in a span of a few days after helping a woman who was struggling to load groceries into her vehicle and being observed showing coworkers the proper way to clear overgrown shrub.
The Bristol First Award recognizes employees who put people first, demonstrate respect and integrity, deliver services that exceed expectations, and excel in an environment that stimulates innovation and continuous improvement. Since the award’s inception, 36 employees have been recognized.
