Greeneville automotive plant to close, 67 workers displaced

Officials with a Greeneville manufacturing plant have informed state officials of their intentions to permanently close that facility. A WARN notice published by the Tennessee Dept. of Labor says 67 workers with TI Group Automotive Systems are affected by the move. The company, which constructs automotive fuel systems, fuel tanks and delivery systems, plans to displace workers beginning Sept. 20 and continue through December.
