Detour planned during Johnson City bridge project

A bridge on Austin Springs Road near Johnson City is being replaced, resulting in a detour that will last at least eight months, according to officials with the Washington County Tennessee Highway Department.

The project for the structure located over Cobb Creek is located between Copper Hill Drive and Bowman Trail. The detour will be marked and will encompass portions of Cash Hollow Road. The project is tentatively scheduled to be complete in March.
