Routine Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest In Johnson City.
Running a red light turned out to be the least of the worries for an Elizabethton man, after police discover more than 30 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle. Johnson City Police arrested 26 year old Austin L. Sheets after he ran a red light. Sheets was found in possession of just over thirty grams of what is believed to be methamphetamine, a small amount of crack cocaine as well as marijuana and various types of drug paraphernalia as well as a pair of brass knuckles. Sheets was transported to the Washington County Tennessee Detention Center and is scheduled for an arraignment on Wednesday.
