K9 officer helps Sullivan officers in Kingsport drug investigation
Kingsport Police Department’s K9 officer Reko helped Sullivan County investigators sniff out a suspected drug dealer.
David Michael Stallard was already being sought for outstanding warrants when officers pulled him over in the Highland section of Kingsport. After Reko alerted policemen to the presence of narcotics, a number of substances including meth, heroin and marijuana plus more than $9,000 in drug money was recovered. Stallard is facing seven charges and remains jailed without bond.
