Washington County Virginia Getting Additional K-9 Officer

The Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Department’s K9 division will be increasing the size of its K9 program thanks to a five thousand dollars anonymous donation. The donor asked that the money be utilized to purchase a police dog for the division. Sheriff Fred Newman says the K9 program is an essential part of the sheriff’s office responsibility in aiding in the apprehension of criminals as well as the detection of narcotics and locating missing persons. The department will now have four police k9 officers
