Mosheim man awaiting murder trial in Georgia gets 16 years on federal meth charges
A Mosheim, Tennessee man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for meth possession and distribution.
Larry Edward Thomas was convicted in US District Court in Greeneville and is awaiting trial in Gwinnett County, Georgia for murder and homicide by vehicle charges related to a 2016 police chase. That pursuit ended when Thomas crashed into another car killing the two occupants inside. His son, Jesse Thomas, is currently serving a 8-year prison term on related drug charges.
