Carter County man arrested following violent attack

A Carter County man charged with a violent attack on a woman over the weekend was arrested after deputies found him hiding inside a wall behind a false door at his home.

Dustin Curtis Wayne Deloach, 26, is accused of choking, pushing, punching and stabbing a female victim as she tried to escape. He is charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment. Deloach was issued a $30,000 bond and is being held in the Carter County Jail in Elizabethton.
