More Than Two Million Dollars In (ARC) Funding Headed To Southwest Virginia
More than two million dollars from the Appalachian Regional Commission is headed to southwest Virginia to support coal impacted communities. Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith is announcing one and a half million dollars is now on its way to the Southwest Virginia Workforce Development Board, based in Lebanon by combining substance abuse disorder recovery and workforce development. More than a half million dollars will go to Southwest Virginia Community College to train students for automobile technician positions and another 50 thousand dollars to the LENOWISCO Planning District for a rural water systems project.
