New Artistic Director Announced at Barter Theatre, Set to Take Role in 2020
A longtime artistic director at the Barter Theatre is set to retire and his replacement has been announced.
According to a news release, 27 year veteran Richard Rose is set to step down from his role as producing artistic director following the end of this season’s production. Assuming that same role next year will be Katy Brown, becoming the first female executive in the theatre’s 86 year history and as well as the fourth artistic director. Remaining 2019 shows at the Barter Theatre are scheduled through December 29th.
