SCSO Arrest Two People on Outstanding Warrants
Two people are facing several charges after Sullivan County deputies find drugs including methamphetamine and a stolen vehicle at a home in Kingsport.
A report from the Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a reported overdose call at a home on Wedgewood Road Sunday, and when they arrived, they found three people inside, including two with outstanding warrants out of Sullivan County. Police arrested Patricia Murphy, 33, and while attempting to place Larry Palladino, 28, in custody, he allegedly resisted and assaulted an officer. During a search of Palladino, police located a key to a stolen 2014 Lexus reported out of Elizabethton, and over $3,000 in cash. Inside the Lexus, authorities also found a handgun, nearly two pounds of marijuana, two ounces of methamphetamine, around a 1/2 ounce of heroin, and paraphernalia.
Palladino was arrested on the outstanding warrants and charged with Schedule II and Schedule VI drug violations, unlawful drug paraphernalia, simple possession, firearm use in association with a dangerous felony, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, assault, resisting arrest, and evading arrest. The charges on the warrants that were served are violation of conditions of community supervision and failure to appear. He remains jailed on a $53,500 bond.
Murphy was arrested on the warrants that were active for her arrest. The charges on the warrants were violation of community supervision, order of attachment, failure to appear, and violation of probation. She remains jailed on a $52,500 bond.
The third, unnamed resident in the home was not charged in the incident. Palladino is scheduled for a criminal hearing October 31st at 9:30 a.m in Sullivan County General Sessions Court. Court documents did not yet show a date for Murphy.
