AP: Incoming Virginia House speaker makes selections for major committees

Following the Virginia Democratic Party’s victory in last week’s elections to regain control of the General Assembly, there are more changes coming that have not been seen in Richmond in two decades.

Incoming House Speaker Eileen Corn has selected three African Americans to head-up three major committees for the 2020 session including Delegate Luke Torian who will chair the House Appropriations Committee.
