Kitchen Knife Confiscated From Kingsport Elementary Student

An investigation is underway by Kingpsort Police and the Kingsport School System after a student was discovered at an elementary school Friday morning with a kitchen knife. The incident occurred at Jackson Elementary School on Stone Drive shortly after the start of school. School officials and a resource officer retrieved the knife from the student. No injuries were reported and normal classroom operations resumed shortly after the incident occurred.
