Stop The Bleed Kits, Being Installed At Some Bristol, Virginia Schools
In response to the latest school shooting, in California last Friday, Bristol Virginia Public Schools, along with the Bristol Virginia Fire Department are reviewing and updating the school systems safety plans. One of those updates includes providing Stop the Bleed Kits. In the latest California shooting reports indicate teachers and first responders were able to provide first aid to some victim because the school was equipped with kits. Now, the Bristol Virginia Fire Department in conjunction with a grant is providing ten Stop the Bleed Kits in six of the city’s schools. Another safety update includes the installation of safety vestibule at Van Pelt Elementary with others being installed later in the school year.
