Police in Hamblen County Searching for Man Charged with Kidnapping and Rape Who Failed to appear in court

The Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who has failed to appear in court on charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape.

The office says the suspect in question is William Madison Swafford. He was arrested on November 2nd after a woman told police she met him at a sports bar the night before and was allegedly beaten and raped by Swafford.
