Tennessee Ranks In Top Half Of States With Worst DUI Problems

Despite being in the top 50 percent for states with the worst DUI problems, DUI fatalities in Tennessee actually dropped during the latest reporting period. The Volunteer State ranked 22 among the rest of the states when it comes to the number of DUI arrests at more than 19 thousand, as well as 243 fatalities. Despite those figures, Tennessee’s DUI Fatality rate dropped three point 2 percent over the prior year. The report also states the south region of the U.S remains the deadliest region for drunk driving.
