Sullivan County Gets First Designated Veterans Services Officer

There are 15 thousand veterans in Sullivan County, and now for the first time the county will have a designated Veterans Service Officer. County Commissioners approved up to 114 thousand dollars for the position, along with an administrative assistant to handle a variety of veteran issues. Sullivan County Mayor Richard Venable will be tasked with naming the new Veterans Service Officer who will be located in Blountville.
