UPDATE: Killer clown suspect from Abingdon must pay for legal defense in Florida
The Abingdon, Virginia woman police said dressed as a clown and killed her husband’s first wife in an affluent Florida neighborhood in 1990 will now be on the hook for her legal defense fees.
On Friday, a judge ruled in favor of prosecutors who produced evidence of thousands of dollars of assets and cash that Shelia Keen-Warren had in her name or had switched to her husband. The court initially ruled her indigent because she cited limited funds at her 2017 arrest. Warren will have a jury trial beginning in May. She is facing the death penalty.
