Charges Pending against Kingsport man accused of running from Rogersville Police and crashing into vehicle, home

A Kingsport man is facing charges after police say he crashed into a vehicle and a home following a pursuit in Rogersville.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Rogersville Police issued a BOLO for the vehicle Mitchell Godsey, 40, was driving, and once spotted, authorities initiated a pursuit. Godsey was traveling south on Highway 11W near Russell Drive when the report said he lost control of the car, ran through a yard, overturned and tore down a fence and flagpole. The vehicle then continued across Russell Drive where it struck another fence, a vehicle, and a home before coming to rest.

Godsey was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries and charges are pending.
