Russell County, VA could be next to adopt 2nd Amendment Sanctuary status
Another Southwest Virginia county could join the ranks of several of its neighbors concerning 2nd amendment sanctuary status tonight.
The Russell County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to meet this evening concerning a resolution like several other localities in the Commonwealth have already considered and passed, which looks to protect the rights of citizens from state and federal legislation that they say could infringe on the 2nd amendment according to the constitution. Locally, Dickenson, Lee, Washington, and Wythe counties have already passed some form of a resolution to declare 2nd amendment sanctuary status, and leaders in Norton, Virginia could do the same tomorrow evening.
The meeting in Russell County is set for 6 p.m.
