Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department Receives Safety Award

The Tennessee Highway Patrol Safety Office has named the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, the 2019 East Tennessee Law Enforcement Department of the year. Each year the Tennessee Highway Safety Office recognizes law enforcement agencies and personnel for their work to make roadways across the state safer for travel. From January to November of this year, the department has investigated 723 crashes, made 86 DUI arrests, written almost three thousand warning and misdemeanor citations for traffic violations.
