UPDATE: Unicoi man charged with vehicular homicide in September wrong-way crash in Kingsport
The driver involved in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 26 in Kingsport in September has been indicted for vehicular homicide by a grand jury.
Zachary Hunt, 23, of Unicoi, turned himself in Wednesday and is facing five other charges including homicide by intoxication and reckless endangerment, according to Kingsport police.
The report also said that Hunt’s blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit when he crashed into a car driven by 47-year-old Margaret Cheyanne Buck of Johnson City who died from her injuries the next day. Hunt was issued a $25,000 bond and was processed in the Sullivan County Jail in Blountville.
