Johnson City Man Arrested On Aggravated Burglary Charges
A Johnson City man is arrested after allegedly ransacking his ex-girlfriend’s residence with a baseball bat, threatening her with the bat and then stealing several items. Police arrested 25 year old Mason E. Compton of 207 E Myrtle Avenue Wednesday after the victim told police, Compton entered her residence without invitation. He then began vandalizing the property and swinging the bat at the victim, barely missing her. Compton, then took property and fled the scene. Police located Mr. Compton a short time later and arrested him on aggravated burglary charges. Compton is scheduled for an arraignment and is being held in the Washington County Tennessee Detention Center.
