Betsy brings state title back home following Saturday win over Springfield

A state title has made its home in Elizabethton.

The Cyclones triumphed Saturday in the TSSAA 4A State Championship game, completing a perfect season and taking down the Springfield Yellowjackets 30-6 in a dominating performance to win the school’s first championship in 81 years. According to Elizabethton City Schools, a parade is to be held Monday afternoon starting on the corner of Hudson Drive, traveling down Jason Witten Way, and turning onto Bemberg Road before completing the parade by entering Citizens Bank Stadium.

The parade is set to begin at 5 p.m.
