UPDATE: Greene County man receives 35 years in 2017 attempted murder case

The case of a 2017 shooting in Greene County, Tennessee has come to conclusion with a guilty plea in Criminal Court.

Lee Allen Britton, 49, of Afton, received a 35-year prison sentence during a plea deadline hearing, according to court information. Britton was charged with attempted first-degree murder following the incident at a home on Doty Chapel Road that left the victim with an extensive leg injury. Prosecutors also said he also prevented the victim from leaving the home for over three hours.
