UPDATE: Suspect pleads guilty in 2016 federal sex trafficking case

A suspect in a 2016 federal sex trafficking case in Sullivan County has changed his plea to guilty.

Brockett Patrick Ian Lang was arrested after undercover investigators had set up a meeting with the teen at a Kingsport motel. Court documents said Lang had placed an advertisement on Backpage.com for an escort service involving a 15-year-old juvenile runaway from Mount Carmel.

Lang is scheduled for sentencing in US District Court in Greeneville on April 20.
