Report: College student murdered in NYC identified as grand-niece of UT coach Johnny Majors

A young college student murdered in New York has been identified as the great-niece of legendary University of Tennessee football coach Johnny Majors.

Police said a 13-year-old has been charged with the robbery and murder of 18-year-old Tessa Majors, a native of Charlottesville, Virginia, according to the Associated Press. Investigators said a total of three suspects were responsible for Majors’ death. She was reportedly stabbed multiple times during a robbery attempt in a Manhattan park.
