Fire destroys home in Tuesday morning blaze in Carter County
A home is considered a total loss following an early morning fire in Carter County.
Officials say the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire around the 2700 block of Highway 91 around 6:55 a.m, and when they arrived, they found a home fully engulfed. The Hampton Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department also assisted and helped to battle the blaze.
Emergency crews say no injuries were reported, and the homeowner was not present when the fire began.
