Russell County EMA: Accident on Route 58 Tuesday morning causes diesel spill

A diesel truck was involved in an accident Tuesday morning in Russell County, Virginia.

Officials from the Russell County, Virginia Emergency Management say they were called to a crash on Route 58 around 8 a.m Tuesday morning, which temporarily caused the roadway to close as emergency crews worked to remove the damaged vehicle that had spilled diesel gas.

The condition of the driver is unknown at this time, and cleanup contractors will be on site to cleanup the reported 75 gallon diesel spill which has entered Mill Creek.
