Roe during impeachment adoption hearing: “Sad day in the people’s House”
“Thank you, Madam Speaker. Today is a sad day in the people’s House.”
That’s how US Congressman Phil Roe of Johnson City started his remarks during a marathon session of debate Wednesday in the adoption of articles to impeach President Donald Trump.
Roe said Democrats have been out to stop Trump since his election and the process of impeachment has been anything but fair and facts prove the President’s innocence.
“Facts are stubborn things. One bitter member on the other side of the aisle said, “I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach this president he will get reelected.” That, Madam Speaker, says it all. I yield back.”
