Norton Man Sentenced In Severe Domestic Abuse Case

A Norton Virginia man is headed to prison for three years after being convicted of abduction, strangulation and assault and battery of a family member as well as soliciting the victim to commit perjury. 54 year old Thomas Gene Gross was arrested in August of 2019 after the victim told hospital officials Gross had struck her with both an open and closed hand, pushed her and strangled her to the point that her airway was cut off. The victim also told authorities Gross would block her from leaving the house and threatened to kill her.
