UPDATE: Suspect arrested in standoff in Sullivan County

A lengthy standoff has ended at a home in Sullivan County and a suspect has been captured.

Police have identified the suspect as Brad Addington, and according to the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office, he is a person of interest in the case of the death of a woman in Church Hill earlier this week. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office says Addington was also wanted in their jurisdiction for multiple charges. Authorities say a standoff occurred at a home near the area of Orebank Road and Cannon Street, reportedly lasting through the night before negotiators were finally able to get Addington to surrender Thursday morning.

U.S Marshalls, TBI, the Kingsport Police Department were additional agencies also on scene.
