CDC: Flu remains widespread in TN and VA, impacts low in Tri-Cities/Southwest Virginia
The flu continues to have widespread impacts in Tennessee and Virginia as the year is set to end.
An update from the CDC reports as of December 21st, 40 of the 50 states including Tennessee and Virginia are reporting widespread flu activity. As for Southwest Virginia, the Virginia Department of Health is showing low flu risk levels for the area.
In Tennessee, The Tri-Cities and surrounding counties reported 136 cases of nearly 3,000 reported statewide cases according to the latest data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
