Police: Chuckey man allegedly under the influence arrested after being caught traveling 84 mph on motorcycle in Greeneville
A Chuckey, TN man is dealing with numerous charges following an arrest Sunday night where police say he was speeding dangerously while under the influence.
A police report from the Greeneville Police Department says an officer clocked suspect Robert Yokley traveling around 84 mph on a motorcycle on West Andrew Johnson Highway, and while attempting to stop the driver, police say he was swerving and then reached speeds of 100 mph inside city limits. Yokley then stopped in a parking lot, entered a residence and initially refused to comply with officer orders, but eventually was arrested and also confessed to being intoxicated as well as suicidal.
Yokley was charged with DUI, driving while license is suspended or revoked, evading arrest, reckless driving, and resisting arrest.
He taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
