UPDATE: Former Eastman Chemical worker accused of stealing company secrets set for trial in April

A new trial date has been set for a former Eastman Chemical Company worker accused of industrial espionage.

Shannon You, 56, is scheduled to appear for a 10-day trial in US District Court in Greeneville beginning April 28, according to official documents. She faces a nine-count indictment stemming from an investigation into data, pictures and other materials stolen from Eastman’s Kingsport plant that have a trade value of more than $100 million.

Prosecutors said You conspired with another suspect to steal information on chemicals then use it to help them open a new plant in China.
