Police: Man admits to throwing items at Meals on Wheels worker for not giving him meal

A Kingsport man is in jail after allegedly throwing a metal pipe and part of a faucet at a meals on wheels worker.
Police were called to an alley near Maple Oak Apartments Monday morning, and located suspect Dana Steinheimer, 43, in the alley wearing a black feather mask and carrying a box cutter. Once Steinheimer was arrested, the woman told officers the man yelled at her that he was hungry as she was delivering meals, and after telling the man she could only deliver assigned meals, she says he cursed her. The woman said she then walked towards the door at the apartment complex and that’s when he threw the metal pipe at her, which did not make contact with the victim. The woman said he then threw part of a faucet at her as she was walking back to her vehicle.
The man admitted to throwing the items because he says Meals on Wheels people “live in glass houses.”
He was taken to jail on an aggravated assault charge.
