New LED Lighting To Shine On Selected Roadways In Virginia
The Virginia Department of Transportation will soon begin a replacement of traditional highway lighting on key roadways with LED products to improve roadway visibility and energy efficiency. The project is part of the Governor’s 2018 Energy Plan and will saving the state more than four million dollars in the future and extend the life of the new lights from five to fifteen years. Replacement of the traditional lights will start in the spring of this year.
